i have a 99 silverado and it cuts out when accelerating and it died and acts like its out of gas

the first time it did it it was acting like i was out of gas so i put some gas in it after about 30 mins and it started up and acted funny for just a few secounds then ran better but still cut out when accelerating now i cant get it to start

Check your fuel pressure at engine. Possibly fuel pump when out.

Check your idle air control sensor, its pretty reasonable, i had a 93 doing that and replaced that part then the truck ran fine
