Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Won't shift out of 1 St gear. Speedometer
works, full of fluid, even changed filter, also
fluid in transfer case. Please help. I have a
grand in it just this week. Has 4L80 E IN IT

Still same thing. I let off the gas easy, move the shift and nothing. Input, and output speed sensor ?

Going to pull codes with obd 1 . What should I look for ? Buffer and speed sensors ?

I just changed trans for same make because it was doing the exact same thing

New trans same problem. I put my old transfer case on it. There was a bear wire, red that comes out of pig tail for speedo on transfer case, and runs up into the very back of the case. Had all coating worn off. Could thatve messed the speedo up ?
