On most enginges "a coil pack sits on top of each cylinder of the engine and serves as the ignition coil to fire the cylinder. " (http://www.mylemon.com/VW_18T.html)

On the 1995 Chevy Lumina Van the coils (Three of them) are on the passenger side of the engine in front of the alternator. They have spark plug wires coming out of each coil pack with the cylinder number on each wire. Just follow any spark plug wire from the plug back to the coils.
