I have a 92 lumina that has engine light on and is running rough

Asked by polaris144 Oct 14, 2015 at 01:15 PM about the 1992 Chevrolet Lumina Sedan FWD

Question type: General

Cooling fan running for no reason. Then engine light will turn
off for no apparent reason.  Fan shuts off and it runs perfect.
This might happen a minute later or a 100 miles later. Any
ideas? Ecm?

Chances are that it generated an alarm that's still on the OBC even if it's not shown on your display. Have someone put their OBD (on-board diagnostic) into the plug under the dash ... it should tell you what caused your problem

Forgot to mention that it's not throwing any codes. 2 different guys checked with 2 different OBD's
