When you are looking to buy a car, raise the hood. If you can't see the battery, spark plugs, and oil filter, close the hood and walk away. Good design starts with easy maintenance.

Norman, the car you describe hasn't existed for at least 15 or 20 years............but I do agree that easy maintenance items would be nice.........

If the battery won't come out at that point, there is a tie down holding it down on the side where the terminals are. Should be a 13mm bolt.
