2000 Chevy 3500 5.7 Lt vortec pickup cranks but won't start w/o fluid

First thing in the morning and after it sits for a cpl
hours I have to use starting fluid  in the throttle
body. I've replaced the fuel regulator on the throttle
body, fuel pump,filter,starter ,alternator and spark
plugs n wires AND still the same problem! Please
does anyone have this problem? Suggestions?

I had the same problem with my 88 ram, turns out it was the hall effect sensor in the distributor. Im not sure if you have one in that model but its always a start. Of course, the computer also runs the injectors via the coolant temp sensor. If the engine is cold, the computer puts more fuel into the engine to start it. Now.. if you have a failing coolant temp sensor, the engine wont be able to tell if its hot or cold, thus resulting in hard starting. Let me know if you fix the issue.
