Fan wont adjust or turn off

Asked by Royal_7796 Feb 19, 2017 at 06:14 PM about the 2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 4.7L Double Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When i turn off my 07 tundra the fan continues to
keep running . And when i turn the knob to control
how fast it goes or turn it off, i get no response it
just continues to keep blowing. What might the
problem be?

Could be the blower motor resistor. They do this kind of stuff when they go bad.

Yes, resistor is what makes the fan change speeds, If it only runs at one speed, replace resistor

Yeah, it should be under glove compartment on passenger side. I'll see if I can locate a how to replace it video for you

Ok, here's a link to a video on how to replace the fan motor. Procedure is same since to get to the resistor, you'll have to remove the motor because the resistor is located inside the blower chamber to keep it cool. https://youtu.be/aBDkLwyyT2w
