1992 buick roadmaster wont start

The car doesn't do anything when I turn the key.

Wirebrush the corrosion at the other end of the 1/0 black battery cable as it attaches to the fender/chassis/ground and the connection to the motor block after you put the battery in as Tom Deyman suggests~
