90 reatta door ajar light

i have a 90 reatta and the door ajar light comes on when u put in gear with
running doesnt illuminate unless it is running and in gear ,can shift to neutral
with running and light stays off till shifted to drive or rev then stays lit till  the
ignition is cycled off

The faulty switch is in the (outside) door handle and you must remove the door panel to replace it.
