Asked by Feb 25, 2017 at 03:01 PM about the 1997 Buick Park Avenue FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 97 Buick I just fix the throttle
position sensor and mass airflow sensor but
my RPM is high and even without touching
the gas or the brakes the car wants to drive
on its own and the cruise controls off can
someone help me cuz I don't know what
what's going on

I'd clean the throttle body, sounds like it is stuck open from carbon build up. Use throttle body cleaner found at your local auto parts store. Check youtube on a procedure on how to do it safely.
