Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I opened door to get out and heard the click again. Is there a fuse for the brakes? or a switch? It pumps up while car is off but once I turn on car it begins again and pedal, braking, will go to floor and click when I release pedal.

Check the brake fluid level.

The click you're hearing is probably the brake light switch. If the brake pedal falls away under steady pressure while the engine is running the master cylinder is leaking internally and needs to be replaced. HTH. -Jim

Adding the brake fluid did the trick; for now. I'm guessing the master cylinder may be going bad since I do feel as though the pedal gives now and then, but not very often yet. Thank you for the prompt answers and I will keep a close feel to that brake pedal.
