Security Light is on and wont start

I have a 1991 Buick park avenue my security
light is on and won't stay running. It turns
over fine and starts for a sec and dies. Does
anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I'm pretty sure you need the security code which is entered through the radio if my memory serves me correctly

I was told to turn key on for 10 Sec., not start just on. Then crank, resets.
