Automatic transmission shuddering on shifting what is the possible cause or causes?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

One mechanic says diagnostic said solenoid bad.  Another said valves warped.
Valves are pistons.  What IS going on?

Pray that it's the solenoid. I believe that can be fix without pulling the transmission.

I would try a transmission flush before you spend the big bucks. I've seen it work wonders. I HIGHLY recommend BG brand flush fluids.

There was a service bulitin for those transmissions. It's the second gear cluch assembly. It's defective. I have a 2004 Buick LeSabre it does the same thing but only when it shifts into 2nd gear. It shutters.
