How to install gas cap cord ?

I guess you have it off the old gas cap, assuming the new one is the same, Try heating the loop/ring of plastic with a hair dryer, this makes it more flexable and allows it to stretch some....a small screwdriver can also help you get it in the groove

How to connect it to the gas cap door ? The old part is their so can I use this? I would have remove the end of the new cord to attach it.
