Temp Gage going up

Asked by Jul 07, 2017 at 05:43 AM about the 2002 Buick LeSabre Limited Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My temp gage keeps raising when in free
way, have to lower a/c down off max and
turn down air flow. What could be causing
this?

Thermostat could be sticking

Check for dirt and bugs blocking the air flow through the A/C and radiator, then check fan operation, if those check good then it is probably the radiator is internally restricted. Back flushing might help, but it's been my experance that you eventually wind up replacing the radiator.
