2003 Buick Regal GS to 2002 Buick LeSabre

Asked by Felicia Sep 13, 2019 at 02:44 AM about the 2002 Buick LeSabre Limited Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay, question for you guys or gals that maybe you all can help me.
Obviously, as I cannot sleep at 2 am in the morning, sadly I let the mistake of
whoring out my beautiful 2003 Buick Regal GS out to a friend for a tank of
gas. Said friend crashed said beautiful and most beloved Buick however, my
faithful Buick still started, ran, and drove onto the trailer with no issue thus
far. I believe her heart and soul is fine but, the body is completely trashed. All
the window's busted out, top bent all in and basically just shot all to hell. With
the hopes there is no damage to the engine or transmission, is it possible to
swap them into a 2002 Buick LaSabre? As far as I can see, it's the same
damn engine except for the supercharge section but, other than that. I am no
damn mechanic. The 2002 Buick LaSabre is also mine but, it was parked
due the transmission going out but, it still ran even though it's engine has
some hella mileage on it.

It should drop right in but you will have a bit of a fight with the electronics as you will need the engine control systems wiring and ECM from the Regal to make it all work.
