Check engine light on on my 2001 Buick LeSabre

I took it to AutoZone and o'rieleys auto parts and
they put the code reader on it and it won't turn on.
They said its the lighter fuse but both lighter
ignitions work. The odometer doesn't turn on either
anyone know what I can do so it could pass
emmissions?

It's not the lighter fuse. Those cars have an exam fuse under hood to left and I believe the odometer works off a different system. But those cars also have ground issues also the wires corrode
