If my Buick LeSabre takes about 15 seconds to
shift to second gear and rides smooth after that
what does that mean?

I have the same problem. we changed out the transmission fluid and the problem improved, but we still have the shift delay every so often.

me it takes a minute or 2 in the morning or after a long stop (hours) to go above 20 mph. what can it be?
