Without asking the dealer to check your VIN number and see how the vehicle is originally optioned, it is hard to say. However, my wife's Jeep Liberty Sport has traction control, which only displays if turned off. The owner's manual stated that if the traction control light illuminated as OFF even when the traction control was supposed to be ON, that it should be checked by a dealer.
