2005 buick lacrosse a/c fan motor

2005 buick lacrosse a/c fan motor intermittent. When you turn on the a/c,
compressor runs but not always the fan motor.

It may be programmed to operate like that. The apparent thought is when it is hot, the fan delays so it does not blow hot air in your face....it may be tied to the pressure in the cooling lines and when the low side gets down below 40 or 50 then the fan turns on......same in the winter it waits until the coolant get to maybe 100 before the blower comes on. If it works like it should the rest of the time then it is programmed into the system.
