2003 century Buick overheats

I have changed the radiator, coolant is full
and does not leak. Kicker, if I run my heat it
doesn't overheat the slightest. And if it's
overheating all I have to do is run the heat
full blast and it goes back down like
nothing happened? Any ideas would be
helpful

Did you purge the cooling system after refill it? If not the cooling system needs to be purged from air. Here is a sight on how to do that... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUpXgAJ1gjU
