i have 2000 buick century custom, it started overheating when sitting at stop lights or going slow as soon as i moved it went back down, also there was no heat in the car, i loosed radiator cap

There was never any steam coming out from under the hood and when i
moved the temp would go back down, also there was no heat in the car, i
added antifreeze/water mix it still did it, then i loosened the radiator cap and
of course it spewed, turned the car off, took cap off and then started the car
adding more antifreeze/water to it, put the cap on the low coolant light went
off and i had heat in the car again, then about 20 minutes later low coolant
light came on but no evidence of a leak, still it was fine not overheating or
appearing to and heat in the car. Today i warm car up get in its at halfway
mark on gage pretty typical, but before i get 3 miles down the road its at the
red line, and again no heat, this time the temp is not going down when i start
going again, i went to turn around, came back home but car started bogging
out steam rolling out from under the hood, before i get not even a mile from
my house the temp goes down and the car runs like normal again still no
heat in the car though, cant afford a mechanic any ideas what this is

Unfortunately, it could be several things that can cause this (low coolant, clogged radiator, bad thermostat just to name a few). No heat can be an indication of not enough coolant. You didn't say if you have a 4 or 6 cylinder engine. The V6 on that car is known for blowing a lower intake manifold gasket which is a big job. You need to fill the cooling system and check for leaks.
