How do I reattach the steering after rack and pinion replacement?

Just replaced the rack and pinion and need to reattach the steering. Cant get
the two parts to come together so I can reset the roller pin.Any suggestions?

Have a helper, but in most cases the rack has to be loose and not tightened down fully. Check to see the steering shaft is in the right position.
