2003 chrysler t&c: the cruise kicks off after a few miles and the cruise light stays on for awhile, then it goes out. Won't come back on untill it sets for awhile. can anyone tell me whats wrong?

cruise control; after being set it just drops out, and won't come back on until it has been off for awhile, then it works off and on for awhile then stays off until next time I drive it. Then does it all over again.

What other problems can it be after changing out the solenoid pack in my 2003 Chrysler Town and Country. Still goes into failsafe.vehicle is only at 83k miles. I was told to disconnect the battery for a few minutes, but for what? 1 Answer

Wasn't changing into 3 and 4th gears, changed the solenoid pack still not working, or how would I know if it is working.I hear the engine raving up one I pass 4mph
