Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a van and it burned a resistor out and melted the plug to the control and I need to know how to test the blower to make sure this doesn't happen again

this is crumbob and I think that question wasn't worded right so I was saying that I think the blower motor is sucking to much power through the resistor and buring it out the last time I changed the resistor I had to change the harness that went to the control knob and I need to know how many ohms of resistance are supposed to be in the blower moter and how many amps it should be pulling
