Wont start

Changed out plug wires, spark plugs, fuel filter, oil and filter change, filled up with gas probably never been full. Drove home about 50 miles 1 way, drove to work 20 miles then drove for lunch while driving just died. Wont start, let it sit and started and drove a little and did it again . Has 286,000 miles, idles smooth drove, been driving for a while decided to do up keep on vehicle, Any advice of where to look at without a lot of cash to spend, Help ?

You should also change the fuel filter and when it dies check your spark plug wires to see if you get fire while turning it over. If not, then I would change the ignition module.
