alarm and interior light

I have a 2006 chrysler sebring touring and I have had it just
over a year bought at a used dealer ship and just about a
week ago on my way home from work my interior light would
not go off but as I was driving it would go on and off on its
own so I ended up taking the light bulb out cud I didn't want
to get pulled over. I am still having the same problem but on
top of that my car alarm keeps going off all hours of the day
and night. As of right now I still have the bulb out and I lock
my doors but keep my alarm off. What could this problem
be?? Someone plus help me...

After I bought the car we went to best buy and bought a viper car alarm n best buy installed it. Never had a problem til now but it started with the light first, I dont no if that matters. I dont no a whole lot about cars either, someone told me it could be a shortage but I dont no....?

It could be a bad door jam switch as Mark said but I would take it back to the best buy that installed it and have them check their work just to make sure.

I agree. Sounds like possibly a faulty door ajar switch.
