My dashboard lights dim and sometimes turn off temporarily when I hit a bump in my 2006 PT Cruiser. I just bought it a month ago and am unsure of it's previous history.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The dashboard lights dim when I hit a bump like a speed bump or small pot hole. Twice they have turned completely black when I hit a large pot hole (our roads are awful). As soon as the bump is over, they lights come back up, but not always as bright as they were before the bump.

It might be a bad connection with the instrument cluster. May even be in the head light switch. Just need someone to look at it.
