2007 Mini Cooper s turbo

VMWMF73567TL89622 I bent 8 exhaust valves and
had the head rebuilt and bee valve cover with new
head gasket and new timing chain kit. The
mechanic said he doesn't want to fix the engine
and said he wants to put a used engine in it. What
should I do? Can I just replace the cam shafts and
the bearings or what?

The reason the mechanic wants to put a used engine in is due to the labor costs involved with replacing parts on your engine. It will be cheaper and less work to do so, so he is trying to save you some money. Sorry, I can't tell you what parts need replacing as I'm not there looking at the damaged engine. If you insist on repairing your engine, you might look into another mechanic. HTH's.
