3.5 V6 does not reach redline

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving the vehicle in a spirited manner, I've noticed that it never gets
anywhere near the indicated 6500 rpm redline in 1st or 2nd gear. I'm not sure if
it's an engine problem or a transmission problem or a me problem. Any help
would be appreciated, thanks.
