What is the cause of an SUV dropping from the rear?

This is likely due to leaking in the air ride system of your Saab. You may notice that when you start the vehicle, the compressor engages and as it fill air into the system, the rear end rises. Once you turn off the engine the rear end will drop again as air leaves the system. There is a modification kit that you can have installed, along with new shocks. It's not an expensive fix and will solve your problem.
