I flushed heater core changed thermostat and thermostat housing, bleed the antifreeze and still my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix gt is still running at in between below halfway and above halfway on gage in
Doesn't mean anything as the gauge may not be accurate, a live data scan tool can show you the real time temperature of the engine, or install an analog temp gauge in the vehicle, I never trust a factory gauge as they are just a guessing stick as there is no direct link with the gauge and the sender like there was in the old days.
No reason why the gauge shouldn't be accurate, but what temperature is it actually running at? Those little lines and numbers aren't just there for decoration.
I have noticed that when comparing the ECT readings with the temperature sender there can be as much as 10 degrees differance either plus or minus, so what one is really correct? Only way too tell is with an old bulb style temp gauge, then you know.
