Check the ignition timing.

Timing is off. This engine can throw u off cause timing mark ligns up when timing is 180 degrees off. Make sure the mark is at TDC and #1 piston is up.

If timing is ok, do a compression test

I've been @ TDC W/ #1 up the whole time. this is only the 6th time i have redone head &intk gaskts i am at a lose what am i missing???

Turn the engine over until the #1 piston comes up again.
