i have the same year burb, i had to pop the lower carpeted door on the passenger side to unlock the door then open it from the outside, the reason the power door locks didn't work, is because the upper pins, on the passenger door, they were really corroded, i got me some super fine steel wool 0000 and just rubbed the crap off and got em all shinny, i still have to wiggle the top right side, while someone hits the door lock switch for me to get the back doors unlocked, hope i helped.
