May be running out of fuel due to the fuel pressure regulator in the TBI. Hook a fuel pressure gauge up and with the engine running, rev the motor up and watch the fuel pressure gauge. It should be holding between 9 to 13 lbs. They make rebuild kits, replacement kits for the regulator.
