Why do does my 07 Nissan quest try to run hot while I'm driving but cools off at idle?

I can on drive about 5 miles and watch the
temperature gag go but soon as I stop and let it
run at idle it cools off.....why?

If radiator is full most likely radiator clogged with dirt and bugs causing little to almost no air flow across the coils clean coils with garden hose and nozzle to get back good air flow across the coils.
