Continuous alarm noise inside of car cabin

Seatbelt is fastened. But seriously, I am getting a loud continuous alarm noise inside my Nissan Murano. Drove it this morning and everything was fine. Stopped someplace for an hour or so and when I got back into my car, the alarm noise had already started. It keeps going no matter if the car is on or not. Try disconnecting the battery and that obviously stopped it. Hooked the battery back up and it started again. Also, there is a solid red key warning light on my dash which I believe refers to the intelligent key system for the car. Any ideas on how to stop this sound would be very helpful. The car still starts up fine
