Never heard of this issue

Asked by Bowdy184 Jul 20, 2017 at 09:46 PM about the 2007 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2007 Nissan Frontier quit moving and
quit revving at a red light then after I turned
it off it will spin but not fire. It only turned
over once after the moving issue and it still
wouldn't rev or move. Any ideas what is
going on?

Pull your distributor cap and see if the roter is turning. Bet you have lost teeth on your timing belt if it is not turning. You didn't say what motor. The V6 is an interference motor, good luck. I was lucky, I replaced the water pump while I had the front of the motor open. Running great over 200,000 miles. LUV MY TRUCK, L8R

Not an engine I know. I would start by looking at the crankshaft sensor. Still am thinking timing belt.
