I broke my van driving it too hard

Asked by Mom Dec 16, 2018 at 01:57 AM about the 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Well, I was mad and put the gas pedal to the floor
and slammed on the breaks at a stop light and
floored it again and repeated 3 or 4 times and was
just really hard on my van for about 2 minute/ 4
stops maybe. It made a ticking sound on the
passenger side then 15 seconds later, at the next
stop I made, it stalled. Now all the dash lights and
heater come on but it doesn't make any sort of
sound as if it's starting up. No ticking from the
starter etc. Any ideas as to what damage I did?

You need to take a chill pill. Sounds like something in the engine may have gone.
