Groaning from my 1994 Chevy Corsica

Asked by Chevylover68 Aug 14, 2014 at 01:14 PM about the 1994 Chevrolet Corsica Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn the wheel right or left to either move my car from a parked position, makes
a real loud groaning noise.  As soon as the car is straightened out from the park
position and on the road (so to speak) then the groan goes away.  It only does it when I
am first turning the car to move it forward or backward from a parked position.  It is also
intermittent at times.  What's up?  Is it worth fixing my 1994 car?  Also, is it unsafe to
use the car?
