what is the name of the fan that keeps your car from running hot when the fan doesnt work

I have an air conditioner relay that needs replacing in my '97 T&C van. Thought I could wait til summer, but the van has been overheating. Try the AC relay.

cooling fan relay. i think yours is mounted on frame rail under battery area, you get to it from under vehc. kinda flat and square. 2 screws hold it.

if its not there. look under driver side headlamp. you will have to remove it to get to relay.
