off on me while driving. What is the
problem.

The light means the battery is not being charged, but that could mean several things. Failed alternator, bad battery, (if yours is 5+ years old it's probably toast) or most common is corroded connections on the battery terminals. If it has what looks like mold growing on the cable ends,l baking soda and water will clean them. Wear latex gloves and remove the battery cables, clean them with a wire brush, or one of these things that can be bought at the Dollar Store. Then put vaseline on the terminals to prevent it from happening again

Check to see if battery cable came loose. Happened to my father's 2006 everything checked good but light came on. Then noticed battery cable was loose.
