White smoke coming from under the hood of my car and burning smell

I haven't drove my car in a few months I started it
today and let if run for a while there was this smell
of burning rubber and faint white smoke coming
from the left side of the engine, what could it be
and is this a costly repair?

coolant leak and maybe engine running hot
