Key stuck in ignition

My key is stuck in ignition and would start
and run fine but then I unscrewed the plastic
piece under the steering wheel to see if
there was a key release and now it won't
start or do anything when I turn key..please
help!

Change fuse F40 it's a shift switch fuse if blown car won't shift. But for the starting part another problem
