my 1994 chevy caprice is leaking coolant from the firewall its a small spout coming from the firewall don knoe if its a plug or hose please help

The fittings are loose or deteriorating on your heater core. Worse case, the heater core is Swiss cheese. Replace.

there is an inlet spout and an outlet. This is a generic diagram on hose routing. Hope this helps.

atsires, that "spout" is the drain from your air conditioning drip pan. Chances are your heater core is leaking into the AC drip pan.
