My 2007 Subaru Foresters back door will unlock and open from the inside but even when the car is unlocked the back door will not open from the outside

2007 Subaru Forester - the back door will unlock and open from the inside but
will not open from the outside even when the doors are all unlocked. can
anyone help?

The rod linking the outside handle down to the lock assy simply popped off. Pull off the inner panel, find the loose rod and reattach to its plastic hole and twist on the plastic keeper. Easy peasy once you see what you're doing.
