Can I put STI seats in an 06 Forester XS premium?

Asked by JimmyM Mar 28, 2010 at 06:10 PM about the 2006 Subaru Forester 2.5 X Premium Package

Question type: Car Customization

Don't know where I would get the seats, but I don't like the factory seats.  The headrests are tilted too far forward.   I also would like to lower the vehicle and put in a racing harness/4point seat belt.  I don't plan to race, it is just that I had a right shoulder surgery, and I think the standard 3 point belt leaves my right shoulder vulnerable to rapid forward acceleration in an accident.

BTW, I love my 2006 Forester except for the seats.  I have 114K on it and it runs flawlessly.  Only complaints are 1. I think gauge back-lighting could be much better 2. Key remotes behave inconsistently

Thanks, JIm

They should fit as they have same floor plan, just need to check that all electrival connections are they same also for air bags if fitted
