kill swich .Red light coming on.won't stay started.

I have a 2007 Himi R\T Charger.I changed
the battery in the key remote. I checked to
see that it work good.
Got in to leave.And the car wouldn't stay
started. The red light blinks. As a kill switch.
Like the key don't work. The dealer wants
$216 for another key. Can anybody help me
with this problem.
