mis fires

Asked by Joei60 Apr 03, 2016 at 10:39 AM about the 2007 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 2007 v8 dodge dakota 4x4 started misfiring and then the service engine light came on. the computer showed it had a bad fuel injecter, so I replaced it.
The truck ran good for about a week then it showed up again I replaced another. This misfiring only happens when it is 40 degrees and warmer.
The warmer out it is the worse it gets. The engine light came on again because it warmed up out. I think I'm getting false reading from the computer. Does anyone have an idea what this could be. I don't want to replace another injector because I don't think thats the problem.
You can email me if you can at joei60@embarqmail.com thank you, Joseph I
