How often do u have the oil changed? And do u use synthetic blend or full synthetic? These trucks have the vvt solenoid that engages the 2nd cam (dual overhead cam gives it the horsepower) the vvt has fine screens in it that the oil pressure increases through to cause the 2nd cam to basically kick it into gear and go..if it gets plugged with sludged oil it’ll blow these screens out and won’t deliver the oil pressure needed and can really damage ur motor if it is left like this and run badly for sure..weak coils could also cause the symptom ur having..the flat tops of these blocks allow moisture to sit around the coil gaskets and eventually water gets in and burns them out and weakens the spark. When I replaced mine, all I had was chapstick but it has kept the gaskets looking good still after a year. Just check those gaskets for cracks and to test the coils, unplug the connector to each one at a time with the motor running. Weak coils won’t change the idle too much when unplugged and burned out ones won’t change a thing obviously. I carry extra coils with me just in case. Junk yard parts . Change out the weak ones too. Might as well. U can get a set of 6 on eBay for about $40-$60 and from everyone who has used them over the $70 each coils.. there’s no difference.
